This information is processed according to your organization's agreement with Salesforce and jayBird's data processing terms with your organization.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for various business and operational purposes, including to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Set up and manage user accounts
  • Authenticate users and secure the Service
  • Process and facilitate service appointments and work orders
  • Enable role-based access control to ensure appropriate data access
  • Provide routing and navigation to service locations
  • Track field service activities and performance
  • Generate reports and analytics
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Send notifications about appointments, tasks, and updates
  • Maintain offline functionality and synchronize data when connectivity is restored

5.1 Data Storage

The information collected through the Service is primarily stored and processed on Salesforce's servers in accordance with your organization's Salesforce configuration. Some data may be stored locally on your device to enable offline functionality or temporarily on jayBird's servers to facilitate certain operations.

5.2 Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5.3 Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

5.4 Offline Data

When you use the mobile application in offline mode, data you enter is stored locally on your device until an internet connection is established, at which point it will sync with our servers and the Salesforce platform. You are responsible for the security of your device while offline data is stored locally.

6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include:

  • Right to Access: The right to request information about the personal information we hold about you and to access that information.
  • Right to Rectification: The right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information about you.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Service may integrate with or contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by jayBird. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We advise you to read the privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we may transfer the information to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.

11. SALESFORCE-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

Since the Service is built to work with the Salesforce platform, additional privacy considerations apply:

12. API USAGE

If you or your organization uses the BlackWing Field Service APIs:

13. FIELD SERVICE-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

13.1 Technician Location Tracking

Field technicians' locations may be tracked during working hours to facilitate service delivery, routing, and safety monitoring. This tracking information may be visible to administrators and managers within your organization. Location tracking can be disabled when not on duty, but this may limit the functionality of the Service.

13.2 Customer Data Access

The Service provides access to customer data needed for service delivery. Users are responsible for handling this data according to their organization's policies and applicable laws.

13.3 Document Capture and Storage

The Service allows capturing, generating, and storing documents such as service reports, customer signatures, and photos of work performed. These documents are stored in your organization's Salesforce instance and are subject to your organization's data retention policies.
